I graduated with a degree in sculpture and print making from the School of Fine Arts, Central University in Quito, Ecuador. Since immigrating to the U.S. in 1997, I have worked as a sculptor, muralist, art teacher and public artist. My art is inspired by everything around me, made with passion and love, limitless and indestructible. Everyday reality meets with my imagination, freely creating a language, which allows me to express myself. Mind, spirit, body, and soul come together to reach the muses. I use materials, tools, colors, and forms to prepare and walk the path of creativity. Then the magic moment comes to embrace and incubate the idea with scenes full of life. Me gradué en escultura y grabado de la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Central en Quito, Ecuador. Desde que emigré a los Estados Unidos en 1997, he trabajado como escultor, muralista, profesor de arte y artista en espacios públicos. Mi arte está inspirado en todo lo que me rodea, hecho con pasión y amor, ilimitado e indestructible. La realidad cotidiana se encuentra con mi imaginación, creando libremente un lenguaje que me permite expresarme. Mente, espíritu, cuerpo y alma se unen para llegar a las musas. Utilizo materiales, herramientas, colores y formas para preparar y recorrer el camino de la creatividad. Entonces llega el momento mágico de abrazar e incubar la idea con escenas llenas de vida.
I strongly believe that art is for everybody. In my sculpture I utilize recycled materials because of their aesthetic properties and also with an ecological message for future generations. My hope is that my work will play a role in creating a positive future with respect for the earth, justice and dignity for everyone. Creo firmemente que el arte es para todos. En mi escultura utilizo materiales reciclados por sus propiedades estéticas y también como un mensaje ecológico para las generaciones futuras. Mi esperanza es que mi trabajo desempeñe un papel en la creación de un futuro positivo con respeto por la tierra, justicia y dignidad para todos.
